Request a Special Mail-In Ballot

Special Ballot (mail-in voting)

You may apply for a  Special Ballot, starting August 1, 2021 until 4:30 pm on October 18, 2021  if you are unable to vote at an advance vote or at the Voting Station on Election Day because: 

  • of a physical disability;
  • you are absent from the local jurisdiction (example: away from the Town of Banff or the ID 9) or
  • you are an Election Officer.

    If you require further information on Special Ballots or wish to request one over the phone, please call the Elections Office at 403-762-1209.

    Note: Ballots will be mailed to voters once the printed ballots are received after the close of nominations after Monday, September 20, 2021. If you are issued a Special Ballot, it must be received by the Returning Officer no later than 8:00 pm on Monday, October 18, 2021.
