Canoeing Courses

Canoeing is a great way to get out on the water to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Ensure you and your paddling partners are prepared by joining local certified experts as they guide you through trip planning, required equipment, safety tips and technical instruction for canoeing on our Rocky Mountain lakes and rivers.
A little training from the experts will significantly enhance your fun and safety.
Summer 2023 Courses

Intermediate River Canoeing
Designed for those with lake canoeing experience who want to enhance their skills in moving water. Led by certified, local guides. They’ll help advance your paddling, communication, and rescue skills, all of which is essential for safe river canoe tripping. You will also learn how to enter and exit and eddy, navigate currents, and identify hazards above and below the water. This session is being offered as a part of Recreation and Parks Month.

River Canoeing

Lake Canoeing
In this short introductory session, local experts will teach you how to launch a canoe, basic paddle strokes, rescue techniques and more. Canoeing and safety equipment provided. $10
