Unwanted Item Pickup

Temporarily Suspended

The Unwanted Item Pickup service has been temporarily suspended due to staffing issues. During this time, please do not place items next to neighbourhood bins . Please hold onto those large items a while longer until we build back capacity to resume collection, or drop off to the waste transfer site in the Industrial District.

Help us keep Banff’s streets garbage free

Don’t illegally dump large items by a garbage bin or on the street. There are free, legal ways for residents to get rid of unwanted items that don’t fit in garbage bins, like furniture or appliances. This service is for residents. Commercial properties and out-of-town visitors are not eligible.
