In AST Level 2 you will learn progressive planning and travel techniques required to travel safely through various types of terrain, how to use the Danger Rating on a local scale, how to apply the Avalanche Terrain Exposure Scale model to develop terrain ratings and proficiently carry out a companion rescue. This course includes one day in the classroom and three days in the backcountry (Golden area). For ages 30+.
