[ARCHIVED] Avoid attracting wildlife this Halloween

PumpkinsDon’t leave your Halloween pumpkins outside. Please display them indoors on a windowsill, or on an upper balcony. When they’re left outside, they become a wildlife attractant and put all wildlife and public at risk.

Don’t forget about properly storing other wildlife attractants such as food, garbage, pet food, water dishes, BBQs and other appliances.

Living Near Wildlife

Drop off your old pumpkins at one of the pumpkin recycling bins in town. One has been added on Squirrel Street between Rabbit and Cougar Street and the other is at the Beaver Street recycling depot. Pumpkins can also be dropped into the food waste bins. Please, no plastic.
