Help find a solution to parking downtown

Residents, commuters and visitors are asked for feedback on a preliminary Parking Management Plan for Banff.

The proposal aims to make parking spaces more available in summer, by charging to park downtown and encouraging use of free spaces on the periphery. Parking would be free before 11 a.m. and after 8 p.m. and the first 30 minutes would be free anytime.

The proposed permit system would protect parking spaces in front of downtown homes for residents only.

Should residents get special consideration in user-pay parking downtown? Should the Town collect fees from visitors who use parking spaces paid for by residents’ taxes? What parts of the proposal should be changed to make it work for you?

Complete the survey and let us know: BanffViewpoints.ca/parking.
