Homegrown Community Art Show
Opening Reception

Friday, March 6, 7 – 9 p.m. Town Hall hosts an exhibition of artwork created by residents of the Bow Valley. A wide variety of art is featured, including original paintings, photographs and sculpture, as well as live music and fashion design. banff.ca/homegrown.

Apply for a Community Grant

The Town of Banff’s Community Grants provide support to Banff’s non-profit societies, community organizations, and individuals. See which organizations/projects have been successful in the past and submit your application by March 30. Bike


Studded Bike Tire Rebate

Get some studded tires for your bike and then apply for
a rebate from the Town of Banff! $60 per tire for Banff
Access Program members and $40 per tire for
non-members.

Urban Crampon Rebate

We have a new rebate program for the purchase of urban
crampons (also known by the brand name Yaktrax). A
$20 rebate is available.

Both rebates are open to all Banff residents until April 30. Details and application form at banff.ca/rebates.


Love your Library?

Become a member of the Banff Public Library Board. The board oversees the operation of the library and reports annually to council for budget purposes. Term: 3 years. Meetings are held the last Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. Learn more and apply at banff.ca/committees.

Zero Waste


Banff Zero Waste Trailblazers

Eight organizations were awarded the Zero Waste Trailblazer award for their efforts to reduce food waste going to landfill from Banff. Visit banffzerowastetrail.ca to learn more about hotels, restaurants and service organizations that are making huge strides on the trail to reach Banff ’s goal of zero waste going to landfill by 2050.

Tinkering Time

Saturday, March 7
9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Lower Level, Back Entrance

Work on a project, fix something broken and complete a design or upcycle an old item at Tinkering Time. Free. Some materials and tools are provided, or you can bring your own. All ages welcome. Parent participation required for those 13 and younger.

Banff Avenue Square

Join Parks Canada interpreters in Banff Avenue Square for winter stories and activities.

Guided Winter Walks

Saturday, March 7
2:30 –4 p.m. or 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. 

Bundle up for a winter walk with a Parks Canada guide. Come prepared to experience the wonder and cold of the season as you search for signs of Banff ’s winter wildlife. Register in person with Parks Canada Visitor Centre staff (on Banff Avenue) by 12 p.m. the day of
the walk.

Running Rascals

Sundays, 1 – 3 p.m.
Banff Elementary School

Join us on Sundays to give your 5 – 8 year olds an opportunity to meet friends and have active play in the gymnasium. Parent participation is required. $2 per child.

Community Living Room and Crafting

5 – 7 p.m.

Time for tinkering and repairing things together. Some ideas and help are provided by the staff, or you can bring your own inspiration and project. Some basic tools and sewing machines are available.
