Support System for Residents
The Town of Banff Emergency Coordination Centre launched a support system to help residents affected by business closures throughout Banff.
The Town is maintaining an up-to-date web page dedicated to information, resources and assistance, which are changing rapidly, with new announcements from the provincial and the federal governments every day. Visit banff.ca/COVIDHelp.
For residents seeking assistance, the Town has opened an email service for residents to access a 15-person team dedicated to providing information and referral services. Topics include accessing employment insurance, mental health, immigration, work visa services, referrals on housing and child care, among other issues. Email help@banff.ca.The email service is the preferred contact method. For residents without email or web access, call 403.762.1251.
If needed, the Emergency Coordination Centre will begin coordinating resources in the community, such as food and supplies, to reallocate from businesses that have surpluses, to individuals and organizations that are in need, if this becomes required in Banff.
