Town of Banff Information

Dog Park Closure

For your safety and to help protect against the spread of COVID-19, the Town’s off-leash dog park has temporarily closed. As it is not possible to maintain the cleaning of the gate between users or to control physical distancing required by Alberta Health Services, the dog park will remain closed until further notice. For more information please visit banff.ca.

Grocery Shopping Protocols

Grocery stores carry the highest risk for the spread of COVID-19. It’s crucial to follow health protocols when shopping to slow the transmission and keep our community safe.

Please ensure you:

• Do not enter stores if you are feeling unwell
• Follow all in-store directives
• Maintain a 2 metre/6 feet distance between individuals
• Do not touch items you are not buying
• Allow only one person per household per visit to the grocery store
• Plan your visit accordingly so you don’t shop every day

Please visit banff.ca for more information.

Help Prevent the Spread

Stay home and away from others if sick. Stay home if you don't have to go to your workplace, or if you don't need to collect supplies. For more information on
self-isolation visit Alberta.ca/COVID.

Maintain a distance of 2 metres (6 feet) from those around you.

Wash hands often, using soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Cover coughs and sneezes with a flexed elbow or a tissue.

Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.

If you have the symptoms of a fever, dry cough, or difficulty breathing, take the online assesment linked from Alberta.ca/COVID. Don’t go to your doctor or a health facility if you believe you may have COVID-19. Use this online screening tool to determine whether you need to call 8-1-1 to arrange testing.
