Town of Banff Information

Keep Active, Safely

Check out the recreation activities you can do at home on banff.ca/active. It is important to remain physically, mentally and spiritually active. It is also our responsibility to keep ourselves and others safe. Please follow all guidelines provided by Alberta Health Services while recreating. Information can be found at Alberta.ca/COVID.

Call for Help

If you need help, please contact us at help@banff.ca.

This is for anyone who needs assistance. That means isolated seniors, anyone with immigration issues, or people in self-isolation who need groceries/prescriptions. It’s also for anyone who has been laid off and needs help figuring out how to apply for EI. We have staff who are answering emails and can help you.

Email help@banff.ca or if you don’t have email, call 403.762.1251. Visit banff.ca/COVIDhelp for additional resources.

Protective Equipment and Supplies

We are asking local businesses to provide protective equipment and other supplies to essential services during the pandemic. Products are encouraged to be made available for purchase or will be accepted by donation. Please contact resource.help@banff.ca if you are able to offer supplies or submit a list of available products to bit.ly/ResourceCoordination.

Closures and Cancellations

The skatepark, basketball courts, tennis courts, all playgrounds, and the dog park in the Town of Banff have been closed to reduce the spread of COVID-19. All Town-organized programs, courses, and events are cancelled, in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. For restrictions on capacity and operations of Banff businesses, visit banff.ca/COVID.

Help Prevent the Spread

Stay home and away from others if sick. Stay home if you don't have to go to your workplace, or if you don't need to collect supplies. For more information on
self-isolation visit Alberta.ca/COVID.

Maintain a distance of 2 metres (6 feet) from those around you.

Wash hands often, using soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Cover coughs and sneezes with a flexed elbow or a tissue.

Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.

If you have the symptoms of a fever, dry cough, or difficulty breathing, take the online assesment linked from Alberta.ca/COVID. Don’t go to your doctor or a health facility if you believe you may have COVID-19. Use this online screening tool to determine whether you need to call 8-1-1 to arrange testing.

Be informed with updates at banff.ca/COVID.

Sign up for emergency alerts at banff.ca/NotifyMe.
