Free COVID-19 Testing
COVID tests help Alberta Health Services track and contain the virus. Anyone in Alberta can be tested for COVID – even if they don’t have symptoms. For local testing locations, visit banff.ca/covid#testing.
Trace Your Contacts
ABTraceTogether is a mobile contact tracing app that helps let you know if you've been exposed to COVID-19 – or if you've exposed others – while protecting your privacy. Quickly identifying and isolating positive cases is an important part to preventing the spread. The more Albertans who voluntarily download and use the app, the safer we'll be. Download the app at alberta.ca/ab-trace-together.aspx.
Cyclist Safety
The Bow Valley Parkway is a fantastic ride, but make sure you carry easily accessible bear spray and know how to use it. Bears are roaming the parkway so be prepared. If you plan to ride from the Town of Banff, use the Norquay highway exit and park at the Train Station Public Parking Lot. In town, cycling on sidewalks is not allowed.
Report all carnivore sightings - bears, cougars, wolves and coyotes - to Banff Emergency Dispatch at 403.762.1470. More info: banff.ca/wildlife.
