The Town of Banff is very grateful to residents and visitors for the overwhelming compliance with our temporary bylaw that requires people to wear a mask or face covering in enclosed publicly accessible spaces (such as shops, restaurants, galleries, and hotel common areas), and outside throughout the downtown pedestrian zone. The use of masks to supplement physical distancing requirements in Banff is effectively helping keep Banff safe. 

Everyone is reminded that there are a number of exemptions in the bylaw, and we should 
respect that pre-existing conditions may prevent some individuals from wearing masks. Please leave all enforcement to authorized municipal enforcement staff.

Housing Survey

Take our survey on the Banff Avenue Affordable Housing Development at banffviewpoints.ca.

Town council will be determining the timeline for the price-restricted home ownership project in late summer. Due to the COVID pandemic we are reaching out online to potential home buyers to determine interest in the development.

At present, the project is slated for completion in the Spring of 2022. The survey closes August 21.

Zero Waste Workshop

Thursday, August 27, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Norquay Shelter, Recreation Grounds
This fun and interactive workshop will explore different ways to get on the Zero Waste Trail, featuring two of our favourite community champions who are leading the way. The Bear Minimum will teach how to make beeswax food wrappers and then the Bow Valley Food Alliance will take us through a discussion on how the role of sustainable food systems can move us toward zero waste. The workshop is held in small groups, while maintaining physical distancing and adhering to current public health recommendations. $5 per adult, register at banff.ca/register or call 403.762.1251.

New Farmers Market Grab and Go Menu
