Apply for a Committee

Anyone who lives in Banff and is 18 years or older can apply to be a member of Town of Banff committees, boards and commissions. Applications are due online on October 2.

Final Farmers Market

Wednesday, September 30, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Grab and Go Menu
The Banff Farmers Market features a grab and go menu. Call the food or produce vendor in advance to order and pick up while skipping the line.

Free Masks for Residents

Residents can collect a supply of masks (16 per bag) from from Town Hall, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. Learn more at banff.ca/covidmasks. 


Bear Street Construction

When heading to Bear Street, stop and ask a Bear Street Ambassador for the best route to your destination. There will be multiple closures to navigate around, check the map at each entrance for pedestrian detours. Please be courteous with the staff as they are trying to help you get to your destination as easily as possible. Maps at each entrance are updated daily and the sidewalk closures change daily as the construction crew work building up the road base.

Permanent Residents of Canada Workshop

Online workshop for you to find out about: your rights and responsibilities as a permanent resident, how to keep or lose your status, important things to know about your permanent resident card, how Covid-19 is affecting permanent residents with travelling to and from Canada, community and government resources. Mountain Adventurers

Friday, October 2, 12 – 4 p.m.
This outdoor program is designed for Grades 4-5 and 6-8 on PD half day Fridays from noon – 4 p.m. Students will go canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, cross country skiing and much more. $5. Limited spots available, call 403.762.1251 to register. This program is generously supported by the Wim and Nancy Pauw Foundation.


Youth Programs Now at The Fenlands

The Basement and the Get Out youth program are back this fall at The Fenlands.

The Basement is open on Mondays & Wednesdays for Grade 5 & 6, 3 - 6 p.m. and Tuesdays & Thursdays for Grade 7 & 8, 3 - 6 p.m. Learn more at banff.ca/thebasement.

Get Out is for Grades 7-10. More details at banff.ca/getout. Both programs are free and are generously supported by the Wim & Nancy Pauw Foundation.

Gentle Yoga & Meditation

October 3 – 30, Fridays, 1 – 2 p.m.

This class is ideal for anyone wanting to release tension throughout the body and practice the art of relaxation through a guided lying down meditation. Ages 16+. $26

Kids Art Classes with Mindy (ages 7 – 10)

October 3 – 24, Saturdays, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

These session introduces kids to acrylic painting, colour mixing and drawing fundamentals of woodland creatures of the park. $77.50.

Youth Art Classes with Mindy (ages 11 – 17)

October 3 – 24, Saturdays, 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Exploring landscapes, abstract and multimedia design, students will learn valuable techniques they can apply to their canvases. Acrylic paints as a primary medium. $77.50.

Hip Hop for Kids (ages 5 – 10)

October 7 – 28, Wednesdays, 4 – 4:45 p.m.

Learn fun ways to move and put it all together to perform a show for your parents and friends at the end of the last class. $30.

Youth Yoga (ages 11 – 17)

October 8 – 29, Thursdays, 4 – 5 p.m.

Now more than ever kids need a positive outlet where they can create a peaceful state of mind. Youth Yoga promotes positive body image, healthy thoughts and builds confidence in our abilities. $26.
