Help Stop the Spread
With the recent rise in active positive cases for COVID-19 in Banff, the causes of transmission are almost entirely social gatherings. Residents, please help stop the spread of the virus by following these critical measures:
- No social gatherings in your home/residence, or in your friends' homes or shared space
- Maintain a two-metre distance from everyone not in your family – inside and outside
- Wear a well-fitting mask – over your nose and chin, in public spaces
- In Banff, our fellow workers are also our friends, and often our roommates. Because we have such a close community, we have a high risk of rapid transmission. Please help stop the spread.

Have your say on Banff’s Visitor-Pay Parking Proposal
The proposed parking plan has been revised based on public input received in Phase 1 consultation. The revised plan would increase free parking for residents to 3 hours in all areas of downtown, instead of current limits of 2 hours on some streets. The proposal aims to increase availability of parking downtown due to more frequent turnover of stalls, reduce traffic congestion caused by drivers circling looking for spaces, protect downtown residential streets from visitor “spill-over,” and share costs for infrastructure with visitors, rather than relying only on local taxes.
Provide your feedback on this revised proposal through a survey at banffviewpoints.ca/parking. The survey is open until November 22, 2020.
Results will be provided to Banff Town Council in the annual Service Review and Budget deliberations. To read What We Heard in Phase 1 Consolation and the full Revised Parking Proposal, visit banffviewpoints.ca/parking.
