Stronger restrictions are in effect to protect the health system and to stop the rapid spread of the virus in all communities in Alberta. Please continue to follow all of the health protocols to make Banff safe. - No social gatherings – indoor or outdoors
- Masks mandatory in all indoor public spaces and workplaces
- Restaurants, bars and cafés closed to in-person dining, but take-out and delivery continue
- Retail stores limit customers to 15% of normal fire code
- Places of worship limited to 15% capacity for in-person attendance
- Certain commercial operations are closed, including galleries, museums, theatres, fitness and recreation centres, spas, hair and nail salons, pools, piercing and tattoos, and massage centres
- Outdoor recreation is permitted, but should be limited to household groups
- Indoor group recreation is not allowed
- Health services, like physio and acupuncture, remain open by appointment only
- Hotels remain open but no spas, pools or in-person dining. Room service only

Shop LocalFor residents who are able, you are encouraged to avoid travelling and shop local from the many excellent restaurant take-out or delivery options and retail stores. If we work together to stop the spread while supporting our neighbours working in Banff, we will keep Banff safe and resilient.

Help Prevent the Spread- Keep a 2-metre/6-foot distance (about the length of a ski pole in your outstretched arm) from everyone not in your household, whether you are inside or outside
- No indoor or outdoor social gatherings are permitted in any setting (private homes, public spaces or workplaces). Indoor close contacts must be limited to people in the same household
- Stay home if you feel sick – this is the law – you must stay home for 10 days and should arrange testing if you have a COVID symptom
- Stay home for 14 days if you are notified that you have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID
- Wear a mask in public places – and wear it properly over your nose and chin
- Wash or sanitize your hands frequently (note some hand sanitizers are not rated to work when cold)
