Residential Environmental Rebates

Replacing old appliances in your home? Check to see if you qualify for a rebate from the Town of Banff for installing energy efficient products. The rebate program relaunched as of January 1, 2021. Learn more at banff.ca/rebate.

Online parent & baby fitness

A free class designed for parents with babies who are not yet walking. Instructor Kim Mayberry will lead a warm up, low impact exercises and cool down with gentle yoga poses. You’ll need a water bottle and yoga mat and/or long towel. Tuesday, January 26, 10 – 10:45 a.m. Class is online via Zoom. Registrants will receive the link to join the Monday prior to class.

Zero Waste Trailblazers - Upcycling

Sunday, January 31, 3 – 5 p.m.
Reducing and diverting Banff residential waste going to landfill is a community goal that will benefit future generations, and we need everyone on board to make it happen. These fun and interactive workshops will explore different life hacks to get on the Zero Waste Trail, featuring our favourite community champions who are leading the way. Cost: $5.

Help Prevent the Spread

  • Keep a 2-metre/6-foot distance (about the length of a ski pole in your outstretched arm) from everyone not in your household, whether you are inside or outside

  • No indoor social gatherings are permitted in any setting (private homes, public spaces or workplaces). Outdoor gatherings are limited to a maximum of 10 people, and 2 metres between people from different households must be maintained

  • Stay home if you feel sick – this is the law – you must  stay home for 10 days and should arrange testing if you have a COVID symptom 

  • Stay home for 14 days if you are notified that you have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID

  • Wear a mask in public places – and wear it properly over your nose and chin

  • Wash or sanitize your hands frequently (note some hand sanitizers are not rated to work when cold)
