Conversation

Join the conversation on St. Julien Road reconstruction

Do you walk up the road to the Tunnel Mountain trailhead? Do you walk, ride or drive to the Banff Centre? We want your viewpoints on St. Julien Road Reconstruction.

Our goal is to enhance safety for everyone and improve the connections and overall function of the road. The 2022 reconstruction will add a sidewalk the length of the road, reconfigure intersections, and new streetlights and replace aging underground water and sewer lines. But there are a number of design options being considered.

Visit banffviewpoints.ca/StJulien to learn about the project and provide input on options before April 4, 2021.

Review your Property Assessment notice

Property Assessment notices have been mailed to all property owners in Banff. If you have not received your notice, please contact the Town at 403.762.1230. Please review your assessment in case of errors—the assesment appeal deadline is April 19, 2021. For more information regarding Property Assessments and Appeals, please visit banff.ca/Assessment.

Covid-19 Icons

Help Prevent the Spread

The Banff and Lake Louise region has almost no active cases of COVID-19 currently and about 450 people have recovered from the virus. But we need to remain vigilant in guarding against the third wave, especially the new variants of concern. Help keep Banff safe in this final phase before the majority of our community is immunized.

For vaccine and testing info, visit banff.ca/COVIDhelp.
  • Wear a mask in public places – and wear it properly over your nose and chin

  • Keep a 2-metre/6-foot distance (about the length of a ski pole in your outstretched arm) from everyone not in your household, whether you are inside or outside

  • No indoor social gatherings are permitted in any setting.

  • Stay home if you feel sick – this is the law – you must  stay home for 10 days and should arrange testing if you have a COVID symptom
