Municipal election needs you
We’re hiring election workers for the October 18 Banff election. Duties include setting up the voting station, signing in voters, issuing ballots, and assisting with the closing of the polls. We're also accepting candidate nominations for mayor and council positions, until September 20. For information on serving your community, visit banff.ca/Election.
The Fenlands renovation
Should The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre have a weight room? A music studio? A climbing wall? We’ve developed some concepts to renovate the space, based on public input in the spring on new activities for the rec centre. Second Quarter Utility Bills
The utility bills for the April 1 - June 30 billing period were mailed on July 30, and are due August 31, 2021. If you have not received your bill, please contact taxes.utilities@banff.ca.
The Value of Collaboration

Schooling in Canada Parent Orientation
Tuesday, August 24, 6 – 8 p.m.
Learn valuable information in this free online session on schooling in Canada to help your child succeed. Attendance is mandatory for parents who are planning to bring their children to Canada in 2021 or 2022. This session is part of the registration process for any school in Banff or Canmore. Settlement Services programs
Settlement Services provide workshops to assist with settling in Canada, assistance with Permanent Residency and Citizenship applications, and registering for Canadian schools. Fire ban in effect
The Banff Fire Department has issued a fire ban for the Town of Banff, effective July 20, 2021. All outdoor fires, including campfires, are prohibited until further notice.
