New pedestrian bridge construction detour

Construction is starting on the new pedestrian bridge. To prepare for the construction, fencing has been placed in sections of Central Park and the Recreation Grounds, resulting in pedestrian detours. The fencing is used to ensure safety during construction, security for materials and equipment and protection of the environment during the activity. Learn more about the construction at banff.ca/PauwBridge.

Bear Street Holiday Market

Be Kind. Be Safe.

Help Prevent the Spread. Book your vaccination.

Be kind and respectful to others. We are all finding our way to return to normal, and our community has a way to go before we are all fully immunized.

Health Canada has approved vaccines for children aged 5 – 11. While children are not yet able to receive shots in Alberta, Alberta Health Services will begin to administer them soon. To learn more, visit alberta.ca/Covid19-Vaccine. Third shots remain to be available for select groups, including those older than 70, First Nations, Métis, those who are immunocompromised, and those who had AstraZenaca as a previous shot.

Visit banff.ca/COVIDhelp for booking a vaccine shot. Banff pharmacies, medical clinics and the Banff Community Health Centre have appointments available. If you know someone who needs help booking a vaccine due to language, literacy or visual barriers, contact help@banff.ca or call 403.762.1251.

Be Kind. Be Safe.
  • The Government of Alberta requires masks to be worn in all indoor public spaces and workplaces, including shops and restaurants.
  • Call 8-1-1 if you have questions about isolation requirements, vaccines or testing.

Visit banff.ca/COVID for daily updates on Banff's case counts, vaccination rates and restrictions. Sign up for emergency alerts at banff.ca/Emergency.
