New Year's Eve Day Event Cancelled
The Town has made the difficult decision to cancel the New Year's Eve events this Friday to protect the safety of performers, residents, volunteers, employees and visitors.
The forecast high of -20C and potential of windchill present significant health risks. In addition, the rapid rise in COVID cases across Alberta, with the highly contagious Omicron variant increases the risk of community transmission.
Even though the NYE event was designed with considerable COVID safety measures in place, evolving science about preventing spread of the new variant makes it prudent to cancel the activities to avoid gatherings. Learn more at

Take time to take care of you for 2022
We’ve all been through a lot over the last two years and it’s important to take time to self-assess, reinforce our personal resilience, reach out to others, and focus on positive hopes and new opportunities for 2022.
Each of us must reflect on our personal situation and make sure we are healthy as we enter a new year. Please reach out to friends and colleagues, especially if they are in isolation. Many people may be unaware that they are struggling because we have been through this public health crisis for so long. Please take time to take the quiz and check out the tips and tools to nurture positive wellbeing, as well as contacts for support. Visit
