Town-wide speed limit to be set at 30km/hour

Banff Town Council has approved a bylaw that sets the maximum speed limit at 30km/h on all roads in town. Skateboards and roller skates are now approved for use on all roads in the town site. This speed reduction is to increase safety for cyclists, pedestrians and others, and will be implemented in late February.

Fenlands outdoor rink

The Fenlands is home to a 16,000 sq. ft. public outdoor ice skating rink in the beautiful meadow. The rink is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The ice-skating rink is located behind the curling facility through the walking path next to the overflow parking lot. An additional rink is currently being built at the Train Station, and will be opening in the coming weeks.
