Outdoor rink closuresBoth outdoor skating rinks are closed until further notice due to the recent prolonged warm weather that has caused poor and potentially unsafe conditions. Recreation Grounds RenewalA large section of the parking lot by the dog park is closed for the construction on the Recreation Grounds Renewal Project. Settlement Services ProgramsSettlement Services support permanent residents, live-in caregivers, refugees and temporary foreign workers transitioning to permanent status who are living in the Bow Valley, no matter the length of time living in Canada. COVID ChangesThe Alberta Government removed the Restriction Exemption Program (REP) requiring proof of vaccination in some businesses and facilities like The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre. Screening for COVID symptoms will be required to enter Town programs. Details: banff.ca/COVID. VaccinationsVaccinations are critical to lifting more restrictions and preventing hospitalization or death from COVID. Everyone 5 years old and older are urged to be fully vaccinated.
