Register for the Homegrown art show

Banff Town Hall is once again hosting the work of artists from throughout the Bow Valley. This exhibition is aimed at helping young, new and emerging artists share and celebrate their work with friends, families and other community members in a low-key setting. Each artist's primary residence must be in the Bow Valley. Registration is open until April 11, and the exhibition opens with a reception on May 6. Newcomer town walking tour

Wednesday, March 2, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
Permanent or temporary Banff residents aged 18 – 30 are invited to join in a walking tour to learn key insights about living in Banff. You will learn about essential services, local history and more. Every participant on this tour will receive a BanffLIFE welcome pack full of community resources. Register for this free program online at banff.ca/BanffLife.


Your 2021 income taxes

March 1, 8 and 17
Learn about submitting your taxes, how to receive rebates, credits & benefits, even if you had low or no income. These sessions are for foreign workers, permanent residents, and Canadian citizens. Visit banff.ca/Settlement to learn more about these sessions and how to register.


Check your property's value

The 2022 Property Assessment Notices were mailed on January 27. If you have not received your notice please contact 403.762.1230. The appeal deadline is April 5. Visit banff.ca/Assessment for more information. 

Fourth Quarter 2021 Utility Bills

Utility Bills for the October 1 – December 31, 2021 billing period were mailed on January 28 and are due on February 28. If you have not received your bill, please contact us at 403.762.1230 or taxes.utilities@banff.ca.

Recreation Grounds Renewal

Utility Bills for the October 1 – December 31, 2021 billing period were mailed on January As work is being done on the Banff Recreation Grounds, trails will periodically be closed. Detour signage will be in place to assist movement throughout the zone. The dog park

Town Hall Services

Town Hall in-person services are available 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday, for in-person services such as: bill payments (e.g. taxes, utilities, pet licenses, tickets); Lost & Found; recreation program registrations; Banff Access Card applications; development permits and other forms and applications; and Resident Parking Passes.

COVID Changes

The Alberta Government removed the Restriction Exemption Program (REP) requiring proof of vaccination in businesses and facilities like The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre. Screening for COVID symptoms will be required to enter Town programs. Details: banff.ca/COVID.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are critical to lifting more restrictions and preventing hospitalization or death from COVID. Everyone 5 years old and older are urged to become fully vaccinated. 

Visit banff.ca/COVIDhelp for Banff locations for vaccinations. The Banff Community Health Centre and local pharmacies are distributing rapid tests as supplies become available. Email help@banff.ca for questions about support services.
