Greenhouse applications

Registration for community greenhouse space opens March 7. Residents can apply with the Banff Greenhouse Gardening Society for one of the approximate 82 spaces available. The lottery closes March 27. Learn more and apply at banff.ca/Greenhouse.

First aid courses

Sunday, March 27
First aid certifications are regularly required in the workplace and can be a great benefit for those looking for a new job. On March 27, Emergency First Aid and Recertification, and Standard First Aid are being offered. For more information and to register, visit banff.ca/Register.


Motoring Munchkins

Banff Elementary School
Sundays, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Join other Banff families for a fun morning of indoor unstructured free play. With parent or guardian supervision, kids 1 – 5 will be able to play with others and use the Town’s equipment including giant Lego blocks, ride-on cars, bouncy balls and more. This program is free for Banff residents with a valid membership. Learn more at banff.ca/Motoring.


Family Resource Network

Join the Bow Valley Family Resource Network in Banff for drop-in play sessions. Running Rascals and the Family Connections Play Space both run twice weekly, and provide an indoor space for children to play. Visit banff.ca/FamilyResourceNetwork for more information.

Snow Removal

Visit banff.ca/Snow to find this week’s snow removal schedule. People who park on affected streets must remove your vehicle from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the day designated.

Recreation Grounds Renewal

Utility Bills for the October 1 – December 31, 2021 billing period were mailed on January As work is being done on the Banff Recreation Grounds, trails will periodically be closed. Detour signage will be in place to assist movement throughout the zone. The dog park

COVID Changes

The Alberta Government has removed the majority of COVID-19 restrictions as of March 1, as part of Step 2 of the reopening plan. Masks will still be required in high-risk settings, such as public transit and continuing care settings. An isolation period is still necessary for positive COVID-19 cases.  

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are critical to lifting more restrictions and preventing hospitalization or death from COVID. Everyone 5 years old and older are urged to become fully vaccinated. 

Visit banff.ca/COVIDhelp for Banff locations for vaccinations. The Banff Community Health Centre and local pharmacies are distributing rapid tests as supplies become available. Email help@banff.ca for questions about support services.
