New fitness and community space open at The Fenlands

A new fitness room, a summer turf field and a bike workshop have opened at The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre. These spaces have been made possible with support from the Wim and Nancy Pauw Foundation and the Government of Canada.

Help steer the Spray Avenue Bus Lane

Survey extended to August 1
Give your feedback on a project to remove a parking lane to create an express bus lane on Spray Avenue, from Bow Falls Avenue to Mountain Avenue. Visit BanffViewpoints.ca/BusLane to learn more and provide your feedback this month.


Apply for a community grant

The Town of Banff Community Grants were established to provide funds for not-for-profit societies, community organizations or groups. The purpose of the grants are to enhance the quality of life for residents and to encourage positive environmental impacts. Learn more and apply for a grant at banff.ca/Grants.

Try our sports equipment

Itching to get out and play but don’t have the proper equipment or toys? We’ve got you covered. The Sports Equipment Lending Program has a variety of sporting equipment for you to enjoy this summer. Portable pickleball and badminton gear, basketballs, soccer balls, tennis rackets and more are available for you to sign out at The Fenlands. Visit banff.ca/EquipmentRental to learn more.

Immerse yourself in Art in Nature Guided Tours

Sundays, 3:30 p.m., Wednesdays, 7 p.m.
Take a stroll from the Whyte Museum, along the Bow River Trail, over the pedestrian bridge and along to Bow Falls and learn about work by more than 30 artists in the Art In Nature Trail. Learn more at whyte.org/Events.

Kids summer kayak camps

With the support of professional coaches from the Bow Valley Kayak Club, participants will learn about kayaking equipment; access, navigation and maneuvering of waterways, safe kayak exits and working towards running their first ever rapids! To learn more and to register, visit banff.ca/Kids.

Visit the Banff Farmers Market

Wednesdays, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Banff Farmers Market is held every Wednesday at the Banff Park Museum parking lot. Enjoy live music, and vendors selling everything from produce and baking, to artisan goods. Learn more at TheBanffFarmersMarket.com.


Friday night rollerskating

Friday, July 15, 5 – 7 p.m.
Come out to The Fenlands and have fun roller skating while listening to music. Roller skate rentals and helmets available. Open to all genders and abilities. Visit banff.ca/DropIn to learn more. Drop-in rates apply.
