Nancy Pauw Bridge Opening

Tuesday, September 6, at 1 p.m., Central Park Gazebo
Banffites are invited to the official opening of the new pedestrian and cyclist bridge in Central Park. The new bridge, made possible with funding from the Wim & Nancy Pauw Foundation and the Government of Canada, will provide a quick and environmentally friendly commuter route between downtown and southside neighbourhoods, as well as the Banff Recreation Grounds. Join the first group of people to cross the new bridge.


Share your Viewpoint

Weigh in on the Town’s movement toward the introduction of a single-use item reduction bylaw. Your participation will provide valuable information to help the Town of Banff ensure that our community’s transition away from single-use items is as successful as possible.  Provide your input by completing the online survey at BanffViewpoints.ca/SingleUse. Apply for a Community Committee

Help contribute to Banff by joining a community committee. No previous board experience necessary. Anyone who lives in Banff and is 18+ (16+ for the Grants Committee) is encouraged to apply. To learn more, and to find an application, visit banff.ca/Committees.

Register for Out-of-School Club

The Out-of-School Club is a licensed childcare program offering care for school-aged children, from September to June. With a focus on child-led play, exploration and natural curiosity, this program provides highly engaging indoor and outdoor programming. It runs during after school hours, PD days, school breaks and the kindergarten staggered entry. For details and how to register, visit banff.ca/Kids.

Settlement Services - Living in Canada as a Permanent Resident

In this two-part course, learn about Permanent Resident status and how to save money in Canada. To register, visit banff.ca/Settlement. Attend both sessions, or just one.

Plug n' Drive Test Drive Electric Vehicle

September 1 – 6, by appointment
Plug ’n Drive is coming to Banff with electric vehicles you can test drive for free. Plug ’n Drive is a non-profit organization that promotes electric vehicles for their environmental and economic benefits. This is a sales-free, no pressure environment. Appointments are available at plugndrive.ca/Meet-Banff-Canmore. Sponsored by Alberta Ecotrust Foundation, ATCO, Town of Banff, Town of Canmore, Calgary Foundation and the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley.
