Active transportation rebate

Walk or cycle all winter long with rebates for traction devices. Rebates for studded bicycle tires and footwear ice spikes are available from October 1 to March 31. Learn more at banff.ca/Rebates.

Drop-in this winter!

Stay active indoors this winter with drop-in fitness and sport sessions! Drop-in Fitness programs take place at The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre, with weekly sessions including 50+ fitness, yoga, dance conditioning, and pilates. Drop-in Sports sessions take place at the Banff Elementary School, and include volleyball, netball, soccer, badminton, and include youth sessions as well. Homegrown Art Show: call for artists

Each spring, Banff Town Hall is transformed to feature and celebrate the amazing work of local artists from the Bow Valley. This community exhibition is aimed at helping young, new and emerging artists share and celebrate their work with friends, families and other community members in a low-key setting. Following an opening on Friday, March 3, the exhibition runs until the end of March. Visit banff.ca/Homegrown for more information and register for the exhibition by Friday, February 17.

Financial Education: Money 101

Tuesdays, December 6 & 13, 5:30 – 7 p.m.
Join Banff's Settlement Services team at the Catharine Robb Whyte Building for a session on financial education. Learn about Credit in Canada during the December 6 session, and Planning for Life Stages during the December 13 session. Registration is required. Cross-country ski day

Saturday, December 10, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This day session is perfect for beginners looking to refresh their skills, or looking to  learn a few tips and tricks to improve their skiing. Explore local trails with a certified guides, and work on skill building activities. This session is for those ages 16+. Learn more at banff.ca/Events. 

CP Holiday Train

Tuesday, December 13, 7 – 7:45  p.m.
Gather at the Banff Train Station for holiday music and cheer. The Holiday Train shows are free to attend. CP will be collecting non-perishable food items for local food banks. Learn more at banff.ca/Events. 

BanffLIFE Holiday Dinner

Tuesday, December 20, 5 – 8  p.m.

Winter Solstice Family Celebration

Wednesday, December 21, 6 – 8 p.m.
Spend this Winter Solstice celebrating with your family at the Rundle Cabin. Make crafts, enjoy storytelling, and take part in tree decorating. Wrap-up the evening with your family around the fire with a mug of hot chocolate or spiced tea and a delicious treat as we reflect and set intentions for the new season. New Year's Eve in Banff

We’re looking forward to joining Banff residents in bidding farewell to 2022 and

MountainLIFE Backcountry Day

Continue building backcountry skills after an Avalanche Safety Training 1 course. A certified guide will lead you on a fun, safe day in the backcountry with the day's location chosen to take advantage of the best conditions. This program is for those ages 30+.
