Winter Solstice Family Celebration

Spend this Winter Solstice celebrating with your family at the Rundle Cabin. Make crafts, enjoy storytelling, and take part in tree decorating. Wrap-up the evening with your family around the fire with a mug of hot chocolate or spiced tea and a delicious treat as we reflect and set intentions for the new season. Mountain Madness Relay Race
Friday, February 3, 1 – 5 p.m., Register by Thursday, January 19
Team up and take part in this legendary local relay race! With a team of five, the relay starts at the top of Mt. Norquay with a downhill ski, then picks up at The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre, and The Banff Recreation Grounds for the running, skating, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing segments. Compete for the fastest time, the best costumes, or the wackiest team name. MountainLIFE Backcountry Day
Saturday, February 18, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Continue building backcountry skills after an Avalanche Safety Training 1 course. A certified guide will lead you on a fun, safe day in the backcountry with the location chosen to take advantage of the best conditions. This program is for those ages 30+. To learn more visit banff.ca/MountinaLIFE.
