Town of Banff Information

Throw a log on!

We've temporarily switched over the Bear Street public fireplace so it'll burn wood instead of being powered by natural gas. We're trying it out for the month to see if it should be switched over every winter. Try it out and let us know what you think at BanffViewpoints.ca/Fireplace.

Stock the Little Free Pantry

The Banff Public Library offers a Little Free Pantry to those in need. Donations from residents help the library keep the pantry stocked. Donations of non-perishable items and supplies such as canned goods, unopened packaged items, including pastas, rice, granola, fruit cups, baby formula, and more. Donations can be dropped off at The Banff Public Library, 101 Bear Street. Visit BanffLibrary.ab.ca/Programs-Events to learn more.

Drop in this winter!

Drop in to fitness classes and sports all winter long! Sessions are hosted at the Banff Elementary School and The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre. Find the up-to-date calendar at banff.ca/DropInCalendar.

Banff expands smoke-free areas

As of February 1, smoking and vaping of tobacco and nicotine products are not allowed in many places in the Town of Banff. Smoking cannabis publicly is banned town-wide. To learn more about this change visit banff.ca/SmokeFree.
