Single-Use Items Reduction Bylaw

Council passed the Single-Use Items Reduction Bylaw on February 13. This bylaw aims to reduce the amount of waste generated in our community. More than 500 people provided feedback in an online survey, and an Environmental Business Leadership Working Group was formed with single-use items as the first topic for a series of sessions. See survey results, a What We Heard report, and a copy of the bylaw at BanffViewpoints.ca/SingleUse.

Businesses apply for energy savings

Emissions Reduction Alberta has several funding streams to significantly lower the cost of investments in energy efficiency measures. Any private business that receive less than 50% of its annual revenue from a  public authority qualifies for the program to improve a facility located in Alberta. It's strongly recommended to apply immediately, as the application deadline is Friday, March 31, and most of the incentives have already been requested. For more information visit eralberta.ca/Energy-Savings-For-Business.

2023 Property Assessments

The 2023 property value assessment notices were mailed on February 13. If you have not received your notice, please contact 403.762.1230. The appeal deadline is April 14, 2023. For more information regarding property value assessments and appeals, please visit banff.ca/Assessment.
