Explore Banff's built heritage

The Town of Banff has a new website for residents, visitors and anyone interested in exploring Banff’s rich built heritage. Users can navigate an interactive map of over 170 heritage properties in Banff and learn about the history of each one. To start exploring, visit HeritageFinder.Banff.ca.

2023 Property Assessments

The 2023 property value assessment notices were mailed on February 13. If you have not received your notice, please contact 403.762.1230. The appeal deadline is April 24, 2023. For more information regarding property value assessments and appeals, please visit banff.ca/Assessment.

Register for the Earth Day community cleanup

Cleanup on Saturday, April 22, register by Friday, April 14
This Earth Day join the Town of Banff and Parks Canada as we pick up litter in our neighborhoods and in the national park. We will provide you with the necessary tools and an area to clean around your neighborhood or in the park in an effort to clean as many spaces as possible. Join us after the clean up for a community BBQ and Storytime with the Banff Public Library. Household compost bins will also be available at the toolkit pick-up and drop-off. Singing Tree Music Series

Into the Wild spring break day camp

April 3 – 6 and 10 – 14, 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Children in Grades 1 – 5 will have fun making fires, building shelters, and much more. This program is run by a forest play instructor at the Rundle Cabin at the Banff Recreation Grounds. Learn more and register at banff.ca/IntoTheWild.

The Basement Spring Break edition

April 3 – 6 and 10 – 13, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Basement will be open for drop-in programs for Grades 5 – 8 during Spring Break. Activities will include gym time at Banff Elementary School, swimming at the hot springs, climbing at Elevation Place, and a trip to Calgary each week. Learn more and register at banff.ca/Kids.

BanffLIFE Newcomer Walking Tour

Getting Ready for Kindergarten

Tuesdays, April 25 – May 16
Prepare yourself and your preschooler for the transition to kindergarten in this free, in-person, four-week program. Children will spend time in the classroom, meeting a kindergarten teacher, and playing educational games. Caregivers will interact with school staff and explore topics in child development and more.
