Get Ready! Disaster Readiness Day in Banff

Sunday, May 7, 12 –  4 p.m.

Banff Train Station Large Parking Lot

Experience a showcase of all the crews, heavy equipment, trucks and emergency services vehicles that will keep Banff safe during a major emergency. Learn how agencies are prepared to deal with disasters - wildfire, flooding, severe storms, wild animal charge, gunman attack - and more. Families will enjoy demonstrations and access to emergency vehicles, while learning how locals can take steps to be prepared for emergency. To learn more, visit banff.ca/Emergency.

Community Rummage Sale

Sunday, May 7, 9 a.m. –  2 p.m 
The Community Rummage Sale is back! Visit The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre to find gently used items like sporting gear, small kitchen appliances, clothing, books, toys, handmade arts and crafts and more. Free to attend. To learn more, visit banff.ca/Active.

First Aid Courses

The Town of Banff offers Red Cross Emergency and Standard First Aid certifications that cover the basics such as CPR and injury response and treatment. Learn more and register at banff.ca/FirstAid.


Drop In this Spring

Looking for something to do that is affordable and fun? Join one of the many Town of Banff Drop-In Sessions. Play soccer, basketball, volleyball, or take advantage of open turf time, a yoga class, and more! Visit banff.ca/DropIn to learn more.


Apply for a Community Grant

The Town of Banff's Community Grants provide support to Banff's non-profit societies, community organizations, and individuals. Apply by May 15, 2023. For details and how to apply, visit banff.ca/Grants.

Singing Tree Music Series

Thursday, April 27, 7 – 9 p.m.
Enjoy refreshments while listening to local musicians in this monthly music series. Join in at St. Georges in the Pines. For all ages, free admission with donation accepted. BanffLIFE Newcomer Walking Tour

Wednesday, May 3, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m 
The BanffLIFE Newcomer Walking Tour provides young adult residents, whether permanent or temporary, with everything you need to know to live in Banff. You will learn about essential programs and services including how to register for a post office box, a free recreation pass, parking passes and more. Learn more at banff.ca/BanffLIFE.

The Basement drop-in space

Mondays –  Thursdays, 3 –  6 p.m.
The Basement is a free youth drop-in space where your child can hang out, play games, do homework, work on art projects, create music or just socialize with a youth leader. Healthy snacks provided. This program is for students in Grades 5 to 8. Visit banff.ca/TheBasement to learn more.


Pawsitive Play

Saturday, May 13, 10 – 11 a.m.  
Join the Bow Valley SPCA for advice and tips to prepare you and your dog to enjoy time in the community and at the dog park. Session for humans only! 50+ Slow Pitch League

Tuesday Afternoons, May 16 – June 20

Wednesdays, September 6, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
