Canadian Citizen Information Session

Tuesday, August 27, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

This free session is for Permanent Residents of Canada who are interested in becoming 
a Canadian Citizen. Registration is required. Free childcare and transportation available upon request.

Living in Canada as a Permanent Resident Session

Thursday,  August 29, 6  – 9 p.m.

This is a free session, hosted at Banff Town Hall, for Permanent Residents or anyone who has already submitted a PR application. Learn about your rights and responsibilities as a Permanent Resident. Find out about no cost English programs, health care in Canada, housing information, career opportunities, and more. Registration is required.

Schooling in Canada Parent Orientation

Tuesday, August 20, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. 

For all immigrant parents with children in school or registering their children for school in 2019/2020. Hosted at the Banff Community High School.Registration is required. Childcare and transportation upon request. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Bow Valley Parent Link – Screens off Greens On

Drop-In 50+ Ball Hockey

Wednesday, August 7

12 – 1:15 p.m.
An informal game of drop-in hockey played on the arena dry floor at The Fenlands. Helmets and gloves required. Drop-in 50+ Ball Hockey runs every Wednesday until the end of August.

Drop-In Girls Sk8 Night

Thursday, August 8

6 p.m. – dark
Skateboard with other women at the Banff Skatepark. All abilities welcome. Free. Drop-in Girls Sk8 Nights run every Thursday until the end of August.


Drop-In Public Swimming

Thursday, August 8

4 – 6 p.m. 
The Sally Borden Building at the Banff Centre is home to a 25-metre pool, hot tub, wading pool and steam room. Lifejackets are provided at no charge. You can rent towels, purchase swim diapers and other aquatic accessories. Public swimming is supported in part by the Town of Banff. Pool schedules can change. Family Fun Zone

Sunday – Thursday

10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 
The Family Fun Zone at The Fenlands has something for everyone. Parents and kids ages 2 to 12 can drop-in and play on the bouncy castles, basketball, table tennis, slack lines, and much more. Parent supervision is required. Your drop-in fee allows you use of the Family Fun Zone for a two hour period. The Family Fun zone will be closed August 5.

Leave your car at home this long weekend, and take On-it between Calgary and Banff. Weekend and holiday transit service linking Banff to Calgary until Sept 15. $10 one
