Make a Difference... Become a Mentor

Mentors are caring adults who help build a stronger community through the simple act of spending time with a child or youth. The Banff Mentor Program is looking for adults who have one hour per week to spare throughout the school year, can meet with a student during the school day, enjoy spending one-on-one time with children/youth, have a variety of interests (and are open to new ideas), and can provide friendship and support. This free session is for Permanent Residents of Canada who are interested in becoming
a Canadian Citizen. Registration is required. Free childcare and transportation available upon request.

Living in Canada as a Permanent Resident Session

Thursday, August 29, 6 – 9 p.m.

This is a free session, hosted at Banff Town Hall, for Permanent Residents or anyone who has already submitted a PR application. Learn about your rights and responsibilities as a Permanent Resident. Find out about no cost English programs, health care in Canada, housing information, career opportunities, and more. Registration is required.

Schooling in Canada Parent Orientation

Tuesday, August 20, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

For all immigrant parents with children in school or registering their children for school in 2019/2020. Hosted at the Banff Community High School. Registration is required. Childcare and transportation upon request. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Candian Par 3 Championship

Saturday, August 17

2 – 6 p.m.
Join Fairmont Banff Springs as they celebrate the Canadian Par 3 Championships. Players will complete all 18 holes of the Stanley Thompson Golf Course, redesigned into Par 3's. Top 2 finishers will represent Canada at the 2020 Grey Goose World Par 3 Championship in Bermuda. Prizes available on all 18 holes. For details, please contact golf reservations, call 403.762.6801.
