Apply for a Committee

Anyone who lives in Banff and is 18 years or older can apply to be a member of Town of Banff committees, boards and commissions. Applications are due on October 4. Pick one up at Town Hall, or complete one online at banff.ca/committees.



Free and Low Cost Things To Do

Discover ongoing activities, free/low-cost meals and community events happening throughout the month at banff.ca/affordability or pick up a brochure at Town Hall, the library or the Banff Registry office. B&B Working Group

A working group has been formed to review and recommend on Bed and Breakfast regulations. The working group meetings are open to the public and any member of public attending the meeting, attend as gallery to observe.

Parent Link - Circle of Security

Learn about attachment and secure parent/child relationships in this 8 week program. Secure children exhibit increased empathy, self-esteem, and school readiness, better relationships with parents, among other benefits. Free childcare available. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

Friday, September 13

11:30 a.m.
Join this annual event which raises funds and awareness for the YWCA’s work to prevent domestic and sexual violence, and to promote healthy relationships in the Bow Valley. This lighthearted event asks individuals to take a stand against violence by strapping on a pair of their favourite shoes and walking alongside one another as allies down Main Street in Canmore. Banff Whiskey Experience

September 13 – 14

With over 300 delicious whiskies from some of the finest distilleries in the world, this two-day event at the Banff Centre celebrates whisky craftsmanship in one of world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations. Enjoy a variety of masterclasses taught by industry insiders, meet master distillers, and enjoy mountaintop tastings.

Terry Fox Run

Sunday, September 15

9 a.m.
The annual Terry Fox Run is held Sunday, September 15 beginning at the Recreation Grounds. This event raises money for cancer research. Participants can run, bike, wheelchair, or roller-blade. Dog friendly. Route distance: 1km, 2km, 5km & 10km.


Ice Sport Gear Swap

Sunday, September 15

2 – 5 p.m.

Banff Minor Hockey, Banff Curling Club and Banff Skating Club present the inaugural Gear Swap. Stop by and pick up your equipment for this upcoming season of ice sports and enjoy a fundraising BBQ for Kids Sport.
