Get Out

Get Out of the house and into sports Friday nights, starting again September 27. Staring into the fridge, bored and looking for something to do? If this sounds
like your Friday night and you're in Grades 7 to 10,
just Get Out.

Get Out drop-in sports night offers a fun, supervised, safe place for youth in Grades 7 to 10 to play in a variety of non-competitive sports every Friday from 7 –10 p.m.
at Banff Community High School. You get to help set the night's agenda, choosing your sport and other activities. Snacks and beverages, plus small giveaways are part of the evening.

Money 101

A series of 6, 1 hour presentations on tips and tricks to make your money go further. Each week our financial experts will cover a different topic to help set you up for success. Attend as many sessions as you like. Whether you are young or old, single or a family you will leave with simple strategies and great ideas. Light refreshments will be served. Tuesdays: Oct 15 – Nov 19, 6 – 7 p.m. at the Banff Canmore Community Foundation, 214 Banff Ave. Check banff.ca/register for session topics and to register. Drop ins welcome.

A fun and relaxing yoga class for all levels and ages. Spots and mats are limited; This is a free event. Registration is required.

Melissa's Road Race

Saturday, September 28

A favourite among locals, Melissa’s Road Race is a family-friendly, annual running event in Banff. Melissa’s Road Race is suitable for all ages and abilities offering a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon (21K) race. 2019 is a very special year for Melissa’s Road Race as the event celebrates its 40th anniversary! Beginning from the Recreation grounds.  There will be some road closures for the event. Visit banff.ca/roadclosures for details


Banff Gallery Hop

Saturday, September 28

1 – 5 p.m.
Banff Gallery Hop is a monthly initiative to celebrate arts, culture and heritage in our area. 10 venues will delight and amaze you, and give colourful cultural reasons to venture into Banff’s Art & Culture scene. Our free Art Bus is bright blue and easy to spot, making for easy access to all venues. This event is mostly free, some museum admissions apply. 


Free Public Swim

Sunday, September 29

1 – 4 p.m.

A free public swim sponsored by the Town of Banff is held the last Sunday of every month at The Banff Centre's Sally Borden pool.

Power Skating For Adults

7:45 – 8:45 p.m.

Improve your skating skills to better your hockey game. Learn and review forward and backward skating, turns, stops and agility. Full equipment and stick required. Ages 16+. Register at banff.ca/register.

First Aid Courses

Saturday & Sunday, October 19 – 20

9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Town of Banff offers a selection of first aid courses, including Standard First Aid, Emergency First Aid, and First Aid Re-certification. Register at banff.ca/regsiter.
