  1. Winter Bike to Work Day

    February 8, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

    Friday, February 8, 2019 is International Winter Bike to Work Day. Join other residents of Banff, and people from around the world, in biking to work. If you’re a regular winter cyclist or are eager to give it a try, this is a great opportunity to hit the road on two wheels. Celebrate the snowy ride with a free coffee and baked treat at Wild Flour Bakery from 8-10 a.m.

  2. A Snowshoeing Experience

    February 8, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Two Jack Day-use Area parking lot

    Bring your own snowshoes and join a Parks Canada guide for fun in the snow while exploring the winter wonders of Banff National Park. Meet at Two Jack Day-use Area parking lot. Register in person with Parks Canada Visitor Centre staff (on Banff Avenue) by 12 p.m. the day of the walk. Group size is limited to 12 participants.

    February 8, 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM @ The Fenlands Banff Recreation Centre

    Drop-in Public Skating is open to everyone. It's held Monday through Friday, 12-1:30 p.m., excluding stat holidays. Helmets recommended.

  3. Mountain Adventurers

    February 8, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    Mountain Adventurers is an outdoor program where students go canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, cross-country skiing and more. Led by qualified staff who specialize in outdoor recreation. Programs are held on PD half day Fridays following the Canadian Rockies Public School calendar. Registration opens on the 15th of the month for the following month’s program (for example, to register your child for the December dates, you would call on November 15). Register in person at the Community Services desk at Town Hall, or call 403.762.1251. This program is generously supported by the Pauw Foundation.

  8. Drop-in Public Swimming

    February 8, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Sally Borden Building, Banff Centre

    The Sally Borden Building at the Banff Centre is home to a 25-metre pool, hot tub, wading pool and steam room. Lifejackets are provided at no charge. You can rent towels, purchase swim diapers and other aquatic accessories. Public swimming is supported in part by the Town of Banff. Pool schedules are subject to change.   9. Get Out Drop-in Sports Night

    Get Out drop-in sports night offers a fun, safe space for youth to play a variety of non-competitive sports. Youth get to help set the night’s agenda, choosing their sports and activities or simply just hanging out. Snacks, beverages and small giveaways are included. For Grades 7-10.
